2008 Challange Donations

The Kalahari Bike Challenge was started by Dr Jonathan Bernheimer, a Pediatric AIDS Corps Physician (Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology) currently working at the Botswana-Baylor Children's Clinical Center of Excellence on the Princess Marina Hospital campus.

Jonathan arrived in Botswana during 2007 and since then has gone out of his way to try and make a difference. Combining his sporting ability with his affiliation for his patients Jonathan decided that a a bike ride across the Kalahari could catch enough attention to enable him to raise a significant about of funds.

Depending on the success of the challenge Jonathan would then purchase much needed monitoring and resuscitation equipment.

Please go through our site and read about our cause. Jonathan has also included a day by day dairy of his grueling challenge 1 180 km (731Miles) across the Kalahari
